Flu News 2008

As usual we will be offering flu vaccinations for the groups of patients considered to be at higher risk of flu and it's complications.

This will be -
The over 65's
Diabetics
Patients with heart disease
Patients with kidney disease
Patients with chronic liver disease
Asthma patients
Chronic lung disease (COPD / Emphysema)
Patients with immune system problems
Patients with neurological problems like stroke or TIA (mini-stroke)

Patients who live in residential accomodation
Patients in receipt of carer's allowance (full time carers for elderly or disabled patients)

We will be running Saturday clinics for the risk groups, and will be writing to them with details.

At the moment, the clinics are provisionally booked for Saturday 11th October and Saturday 18th October, 9.00am to 11.00am.

There will be availability for flu vaccination in normal nurse surgeries as well. Please contact reception to be booked in.
