Eve Hill News - What's going on in 2008

Staff Changes

Please welcome Mrs Vanessa Bond, our new practice nurse. She is working with us on Thursdays and Fridays.

We hope you will help her to settle in with us here at Eve Hill.

Memories of Eve Hill Surgery

The last meeting of the patient panel decided that it would be a great idea for us to write a 'Memories of Eve Hill Surgery' book, for Dr Blackman's retirement.

However, if you have a memory of the old doctors, the old buildings or just a funny or memorable story, why don't you write it down with your name, and hand it in so we can start collecting this valuable history!

Training Doctors

From 5th August, Dr John Woolley will be working with us for 6 months, during his final year of GP training. He is a trained and experienced doctor who has worked locally for several years.

Pneumococcal Vaccination

We are now able to offer the pneumococcal vaccination to all patients over the age of 65, as well as those with Diabetes.

This is recommended to prevent pneumococcal pneumonia, a relatively common and dangerous condition as you get older.

The jab is a one-off vaccination, with life long protection.
